Our morning started off with trying another new food for us – crumpets with cream cheese (we didn’t have jam) – spongier english muffins, i think we’re now fans. After grabbing another round of Dr. Peppers we set off to the harbor we are staying in and stalked around for something to do. We decided on taking the ferry out to one of the well known beaches in the area – Manly Beach. After two ferry hops, a pass under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and a pass next to the Sydney Opera House, we landed. Our first stop was to get some grub and finally had some fish and chips that they are known for and it was outstanding! (Notice Jess’s fully intact fish and chips for the photo, whereas Heid’s are alrady dug into…hmmmm who was hungrier??!)

The wind was nice and strong and brought in a cool breeze…well cool meaning we had to use the blankets we “borrowed” from the flight to cover up with on the beach:) Once we had enough we decided to head back on the ferry only stopping to pick up some UGGS which now we have to pack with us for the rest of the trip.

This became a rocky and wet ride but was well worth it. After getting back to the hotel and cleaning the sand out of our ears, we decided to get some dinner right here in our harbour. We found a great italian place and were able to sample some more Australian wine and beer (notice the skyline in the background and heidi’s seafood pasta – crazy claws in there!). With our bellies full, it was time to head home and rest up for an early day of canyoning….
