So both Bela and I had a bit of a busy weekend – though mostly apart. He spent most of his weekend at Vertical Endeavors pushing the annual membership sale while I kept myself busy with some ideas i found for photo fun. I thought i’d share some of my favorites from the weekend.
After getting some climbing in I went to visit my friend Astrid who just got her 2nd kittie Istra (black and white) who joins her other kittie Marizpan (white with some gray). I’ve been wanting to get some photos of them and i finally got around to bringing my gear.

Sunday ended up being a beautiful day – where i probably should have been outside kayaking, biking or something active but I had set my mind and kept to my original plan of working on some photo fun that required full sunlight. I am now a huge fan of olive oil and sparkling water
Hope you enjoy some of these funky images!

I uploaded a few more pics to my picasa library so feel free to check them all out

as is usual i’m a bit slow to post cool photos. I think i do have a good excuse in that i do have 4500 photos to fully edit and color correct from our Yellowstone trip
i don’t think i ever posted these so I thought i’d share them now…

I was running late for work one morning and it was pretty chilly out. I had to put my new registration sticker on the jeep and as i was walking around to the back i noticed some of the coolest frost “growing” out of the plastic windows on the Jeep. They were some of the most amazing bits of frost I’d ever seen, so i immediately dropped my stuff and ran into the house to get my camera and macro lens.

And as the sun rose above my garage I knew time was very limited so I spent the next 5 minutes or so trying to capture the coolness. The top area was already melting by the time I decided to head into work. I was very thankful i had been running late that day- otherwise it might not have been light enough to capture the photos and if I’d been any later I would have missed it completely!
